According to statistics, the “AVERAGE MAN” pays less attention to his health than the average woman. Compared to women, men are more likely to
- Skip their yearly doctor visits
- Drink alcohol and use tobacco or other substances
- Make unsafe choices
- Internalize stress
Men are afflicted by similar diseases as everyone else —heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and depression but at an earlier age than their female counterparts and they also have issues unique to their male physiology, such as prostate problems and erectile issues. Men even gain weight differently than women.
